About

Blade

Steven Ogburn, known worldwide as Blade, is one of the founding figures of New York subway graffiti. From 1972 onwards he painted more than 5,000 trains, inventing styles, characters and letterforms that shaped everything that came after — earning him the title King of Graffiti.

Vincent Vlasblom, "the Bo$$", met Blade in the Netherlands and represented him for over forty years, building one of the most complete private collections of his work. Their correspondence and friendship form the backbone of this book.
